Hi,

I have a laptop which came with an OEM Windows 8.1 Home installation. After upgrading to Win 10 Home
I disabled IE(11) in Windows Features. All along I have been using a local program working on external servers
without really knowing this program was/is running in the context of IE. But the program involved has been
running ok during the years, at least most years. I have on my disk under programs the 2 Internet Explorer
directories/maps and of cource some maps under Appdata. But IEXPLORE.EXE is missing. For how long I
don´t know but today and for some time I have noticed some problems with the Program running under
Internet Explorer. Could it be iexplore.exe related? IE could not be seen in Windows features.

I did a clean installation of the Creative Update on the 10th of April 2017. A long time later I read that MS
was warning about doing a clean installation using Creative Update on laptops. IE was "disabled" both before
and after the clean installation. I have used both DISM() and SFC /scannow at several occasions without any
return of the missing file. Readings on internet tells me I probably have to use install-media to get it fixed.

I have some other Windows Update problems as well. Lately my system tells me I don´t get any updates
of i.e 3rd party MS-files like drivers etc. Very strange that those pages(advanced alternatives) under Settings
are now gone. Window tells me my system is updated but an Audit program says some updates are/were
missing. How to check what is correct?

Today I have the spring 1809 Update.

I think my Window systems got corrupted from the clean installation. Several new functions like Windows
TO GO and old functions like NetMeeting(Vista) have been installed on my Windows 10 Home edition.

Regards,
