Hi,

Here are the steps we have taken so far:
  1. Ran sfc /scannow
  2. Ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth - received Error 1734 The Array bounds are invalid
  3. Ran ComponentsScanner

I have uploaded the 3 files as requested.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi @steven_reid,

Welcome to Sysnative Forums!

If you haven't already, please review the posting instructions here, and attach the requested log files. Without log files, our helpers will not be able to assist, and this will slow down fixing your machine.

If logs have been already been provided, our team of volunteers will analyse the provided log files to build a fix for your system. Please be aware that this may take several days from your initial post, due to the high volume of threads that we receive.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named @MoZi. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative!

Please follow these instructions to remove an update.
  • Open the Start menu of Windows and type the command CMD
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.
Code:
wusa /uninstall /KB:5004948

  • Let me know if it says it was successful or you get the message: The update KB5004948 is not installed on this computer.

Please excuse, I had a typo, the right command is now edited in Post #5
Please retry the steps with this and let us know the result.

5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Step 2

Please retry the DISM command in an elvated prompt and attach a new copy of the CBS log.
