[SOLVED] Hyper-V leftovers causing updates to fail

For some reason I have a few leftovers of HyperV packages on my system and I am unable to install updates, most likely due to those leftovers. I don't even use HyperV and I have tried to install and uninstall all HyperV Features, but that didn't help. When I run

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

it fails due to files being unavailable. The CBS.log file shows

How can I add those missing manifest files so I can install updates again? Or can I somehow remove the leftovers from HyperV from my system?

I tried to find those manifest/cat files or update packages so I could just reinstall them, but so far I wasn't able to find them.

Without those files and only an excerpt of the CBS log we can't do much to provide a fix.

As expected the component scanner yielded to no result. The CBS log doesn't contain any additional info except for what I already posted above. Those files are missing and if you could provide them that would be really appreciated.

This is not correct because you said the following in the first post.

So please provide the all the CBS logs.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder

• Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
• Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
• Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
• Click on the Yes button here.

• Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply. If the file is too large to attach, upload the CBS.zip file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

There literally is no other info about the issue. Only a lot of other irrelevant stuff.

I am setting up VMs right now to grab the files, it would be great if you are faster but if not, no worries, I will eventually grab them by myself.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, but it's your choice and when you don't provide the CBS logs, I will close this thread because you can resolve it yourself and don't need help here!

Well it is telling us already which files are missing, there's a lot of spam about trying to download stuff and then noticing it doesn't exist and so on. Feel free to check yourself if you don't believe me
