If any of you are in this area, I hope you evacuated. I have lived in the Florida Panhandle since 1985 and I've been through quite a few hurricanes. I have never heard them use the term "Unsurvivable Storm Surge".
God be with the ones who can't leave.
The video below is my town almost 2 years ago from Hurricane Michael. We are still dealing with the aftermath.
I have to add, we were only out of power for about 2 weeks. There was not a pole left standing. We had 33,000 linemen from all over the country working around the clock and got it fixed in record time.
