html file won't open

Some time ago I saved a page from a website from chrome as a html file. When double click it loads up and you can see a bit of the page. The it spins and states that it's loading, it stops and then there is a blank page. Any suggestions.

What was the method and steps you used to save it? Right click, save as?

If so, when you save a webpage as a file, it only saves what the server allows it to save. Some of the data isn't saved.

Since it's saved on your PC it will only show what data it saved at the time you saved it since its not communicating with a server that has the rest of the data.

When I was at chrome I went to more tools, save page as, and saved as webpage complete (*.htm,*.html). On the other hand I saved another page under webpage, single file from the same website and I have no problem with that file.
