Here in Central New Jersey near the beach, we're down from >$3.50/gallon to $1.83/gallon (best price) for regular unleaded over the last 6 months - that's about a 50% drop.

Most gas stations around here are charging ~$1.95/gallon for unleaded regular; $2.25/gallon - super unleaded.

It's nice to see $20 worth of gas actually move the gas tank fuel gauge needle nearly 1/2 tank (20 gallon tank). A few months ago, $20 didn't seem to make a dent.

I don't know about petrol prices, but beer has gone up by 5p again. It's £3.40 per a pint for me now, the cheapest I pay is £3.10.

Petrol has dobbed a large amount here over the past few weeks. The other day when I filled up it was $1.02 AUD per Liter. Which would equal about $3.77 per Gal.

Maybe its not that much cheaper lol.

We can get £4 per pint up here...
Then again, Guinness isn't the cheapest drink...

I live in an oil province in Canada, and it's been between $0.60 and $0.80 for the past few months now. Usually it's over $1.00, and usually around $1.10 or $1.20 per litre. Your cost of $1.95/ gallon is about $0.50/ litre here, so still cheaper than us. It's back up to about $0.80 last time I checked here, but still not bad considering that the common price has been over $1.00 for a few years now.

In my opinion, it's at least at a more reasonable price to date. There was no reason for it to be as high as it used to be, and there never was, unless you count 'greed' as a justified reason.

In italy: 1.4 EUR/l = 1.619 USD/l = 6.129 USD/USgal = 1.069 £/l = 4,860 £/UKgal at the moment, but in the past weeks/months it was 1.76 EUR/l = 2.035 USD/l = 7,703 USD/USgal = 1.344 £/l = 6.110 £/UKgal and it reached also 2 EUR/l = 2.312 USD/l = 8,752 USD/USgal = 1.527 £/l = 6.942 £/UKgal two years ago!

It is 60 INR (~1$) here for a pint. But, I don't drink and know these prices only because my friends do.

Regarding Petrol, it is almost the same rate which Alex pays in Australia i.e. ~3$ per gallon.

The petrol station down the road is about £1.05/l, which is $7.23/gallon. Consider yourself lucky

OMGosh! How can you folks afford to even put gas into your vehicles over there? I just filled up at $1.87 (USD's) over here in the States, so yeah! I feel real lucky! I have a gas guzzling (16 mpg) Tahoe with a 26 gallon tank. Feels real good to be able to fill up and not cost an arm and a leg.

Wow! If I did the math correctly, over there it would cost me $187+ USD's to fill up my tank.

Good question! This is the lowest it's been in a long time as well, it's sat at anywhere between £1.20-1.40/l ($8.27-9.64/gallon) over the past few years so people are quite happy at the moment :p I don't drive at uni because I don't really need to, but at home I drive a Polo which gets a good 40-50 mpg - it helps, but it's still way more than you pay.

I drive about 28 miles one way to work, so round trip for me is about 3 gallons and I make sure to take care of any errands while I am out and on my way home. I try not to back track for anything to save gas and prevent racking up the miles on my truck. If I forget anything, I do without. I do not make special trips even to get the bare necessities. If I didn't live so far from work (I live in the country. Closest town with a gas station is 10 miles either way), I would certainly get me a bicycle or take public transportation.

I have been wanting to trade my truck in for something that is a lot more cost efficient, but, do I really want another car payment? I love my Tahoe, and I do need the extra space it provides for my kitty cat rescues, and the road trips to see Mom who lives about 4 hours south of me.

I'm jealous & envious - somewhat! I only get 14 mpg local, but can get 25 mpg highway, if I am a good boy (obey the speed limit). However, I'll settle for the lower numbers as I do love to hear the roar of the V8 engine on the highways at high speeds. :)

It's about $1.95/gal here in Oregon.

I drive 22 miles one way to work but, I drive a Honda Civic and normally average well over 30 mpg.

Recently it has been making funny noises and I have been down to 28 mpg so I am taking it to the mechanic tomorrow. :banghead:

Wont argue about the cheaper gas though :grin1:
