I have no magic fixes Alex. I'm just a dumb old country boy that knows how to Google. I have used a thread to fix a update problem on my PC and on one seniors PC. I realize that you have some tough stuff to deal with and you don't have a lot of help. I see we have a new member that's trying to help and he seems to know a lot about windows updates. I don't know ;when it is time say enough, "There's to many corrupted files, time to think about restore to factory." When do you give up? Some of the threads have 40,50,60,70,80 replies and still there are problems. I'm looking for a quick fix that will help take a little of the load from you. I would like to learn your way. I wonder why the autor of SFCFix doesn't help more!! The new guy helping says that DSIM has to clear before the other problems can be addressed. I don't know!! I did attach a link on a thread you were helping on about DSMI. I can see that you spend a lot of your time trying to help members and you probably get discouraged and need a break, but who takes your place. There is a big back log waiting for you. If this link just helped a couple, that would be two that you didn't have to spend your time helping.
I'm not here to cause you or anyone here grief. I don't have all the answers and I'm learning and forgetting things every day. I try to follow all your threads hoping I will learn. You said a long time ago that you weren't comfortable recommending a windows Fixit. That's basically what this is. There are some other things in the link if you look for them. Some of things on the link seem similar to what you suggest. I don't know Alex. I'm not even close to having your knowledge about all this. Are there other things that can cause update problems. I never see malware mentioned. Can malware cause update problems. What else can cause update problems??? Can a update be down loaded and installed even if SFCFix shows there are corrupted files. I don't know that either?? There is a Hell of a lot I don't know. I just want to help here on sysnative.
You invited me to be your friend when I first joined sysnative. I excepted and I'm hoping we still are friends!
Here's the link I have used!! Thanks for reading my reply! Teach me these things! I want to help!
Gary!!
