How do I make the Outlook web app my default mail app?

When I click on an email link I want to use the Outlook web app from Windows 365 rather than the Outlook 2016 desktop app. But I am not given that option in the default apps settings. I don't want to use any of the available options.

Hi, relztrah.

That is my preference as well. What I have always done is to have Outlook as a start tab when I launch the browser. To do this with Microsoft Edge, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser, click "Settings" and select "Start, home, and new tabs".

The answer is: You don't.

The default apps setting is for just that: apps (whether installed desktop apps or universal apps).

As @Corrine has mentioned, you can either make Outlook.com come up as one of your start tabs in the browser you routinely use, or use the "Start where I left off" setting which will open all tabs you had open when you shut down the browser the next time you open it up.

I use Gmail webmail, and always have a tab open in Firefox, Edge, and Vivaldi for my three accounts and use the "Start where I left off" feature on all of my browsers.
