Hi folks,
thx for this great forum. It seems to be very helpful in getting help with some weired issues. (Excuses in advance for my poor english... :roll eyes (sarcasti)
I am using a HP 6730b (5 years old) with 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro, updated with an 250 GB SSD.
I am facing a DPC issue like some others, but have no idea how to solve it: in the last weeks i faced some crazy slow-downs while viewing some youtube clips or listen to music from my external USB HD. I am using the Audio 2 DJ USB Audio Hardware to power my speakers. All drivers are up to date. Windows 7 Pro is updated too.
In Process Explorer i see a repeating peak with a length of about 2 seconds every 40 seconds with a CPU Usage of ~50% caused by DPCs (see screenshot 1).
After installing Windows Performance Toolkit and running xperf like described here (thx!) the etl shows usbport.sys in the first line (see screenshot 2).
After checking your driver list and checking the update status of all drivers (all are up to date) i have no idea what to do/check next...
So i would appreciate any kind of help/assistance/idea to go on... Thx a lot!
Jörg
