[SOLVED] Help with Windows Update error 800B0100

Hallo all, thanks for taking the time to read my message
I'm stuck with a pc with windows 7 PRO 64 which I cannot format for usual reasons (tricky software configurations etc)
All of a sudden the machine won't update or better, it continues to update with no positive result and giving errore code (unknown) 800B0100.
I tried first of all with sfc /scannow but everything seems right
Then tried the system readiness tool and got some errors but couldn't find a cue how to resolve them
Tried also Windows Update Diagnostic and a Microsoft Fix It with no luck

Warning: This fix is intended for use on this particular machine. Do not use this fix on any other machine; doing so may cause damage to your Operating System. If you are not the original poster and require assistance, please start your own topic.

  • Download View attachment Packs.zip and save this file to your Desktop.
  • Right-click the file and click Extract All....
  • Place a checkmark next to Show extracted files when complete and click Extract.
  • A window will open showing one folders: Packages.
  • Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

  • Re-run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) as you did before.
  • Upon completion, copy the contents of the SURT log found at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log and paste in your next reply.

  • Copy the bold lines below and paste into the Notepad document:

  • Click Format. Ensure Wordwrap is unchecked.

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) Replacement

Warning: This fix is intended for use on this particular machine. Do not use this fix on any other machine; doing so may cause damage to your Operating System. If you are not the original poster and require assistance, please start your own topic.

  • Download View attachment 20098 and save this file to your Desktop.
  • Right-click the file and click Extract All....
  • Place a checkmark next to Show extracted files when complete and click Extract.
  • A window will open showing one folders: Packages.
  • Open the Packages folder and copy the files into the following folder:

    C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Servicing\Packages

  • Re-run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) as you did before.
  • Upon completion, copy the contents of the SURT log found at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log and paste in your next reply.

SFC /Scannow

  • Press the Windows Key
    pdKOQKY.png
    + r on your keyboard at the same time. Type Notepad and click OK.
  • Copy the bold lines below and paste into the Notepad document:

    sfc /scannow
    timeout /t 120 /nobreak
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\CBS.txt"
    del %0

  • Click Format. Ensure Wordwrap is unchecked.
  • Click File, Save As and name the file sfcscannow.bat.
  • Select All Files as the Save as type. Save the file to your Desktop.
  • Locate sfcscannow.bat
    lmRDSkT.png
    on your Desktop. Right-click the file and click
    AVOiBNU.jpg
    Run as administrator.
  • Upon completion, a file (CBS.txt) will be created on your Desktop. Attach this file in your next reply.
  • Note: If the file is too large to attach, upload to a service such as Dropbox, One Drive or SendSpace and provide a direct download link in your next reply.

Thank you for the logs. Please go ahead and run Windows Update - let me know if updates will successfully install or not.
 
Unfortunatly I still got some (different) errors altough something is installing
I attach some screen shots, let me know if need something different

Hello,

In post #8 you provided a list of updates that failed to install. Given KB3075226 is in fact installed, please could you provide a current list of updates that fail to install.

The referenced error code (0x8024200D) from earlier is usually resolved through manually installing the update. We can look into this once I have the correct list of failed updates.
 
I've uploaded a screenshot of all the updates failed/succesful since the 4th of april...there are 5 pages, hope you can read them easily :-)

Hello,

Thank you for the screenshots, which indicate there are three failing updates (KB3004375, KB2698365 and KB3031432) currently as of posting.

Please download the standalone installer for KB3004375. Run the installer and follow the prompts. Let me know if the update installs.

If installation fails, please provide the following logs immediately after.

  • C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log
  • C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
 
I installed KB3004375 and everything was fine
So I tried to install manually KB2698365 but get same error
I attach here cbs.log and windowsupdate.log
