W7U x86. This is what's left. Really hope someone still has these, since MS catalog only goes back to 2016 for IE11. The windowssearchengine manifest is a doozy for me. Please don't request anything from SFCFix. What it finds, I do not want "repaired." I modified a system file (photoviewer.dll) and its backup to allow it in safe mode. SFC's result is also attached. I edited out the failed replace of photoviewer.dll, again, because it's intentional.

Hello and welcome,

Please don't request anything from SFCFix. What it finds, I do not want "repaired."
You did not attach the SFCFix log file so we can't see what not to repair!

Please attach the complete CheckSur log.

The SFCFix log doesn't list the missing manifests that DISM scanhealth lists, seen in the checksur log. It only lists one of them. I'll attach it. I already edited out the photoviewer.dll "corruption" from it. I've also attached the full checksur log. You can see why I stripped off most of it, since it just repeats the summary.

Please note that changing requested log files should never be done. We don't know what's been edited/removed so the fix might be wrong and/or incomplete.
So, before using the fix below, make sure you have a full backup of your machine or at least of all your important data.

Follow the instructions below please.

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Thank you very much! I had checked my install media discs that I had made in 2012, 2014, & 2021, and those manifests were not on those discs. That's awesome that you had these! Again, thanks!

Your welcome. Can we close this thread or are there remaining issues we need to look at ?
