Hi Sysnative admins, please help!

Originally, I was having problem installing a software on this Windows 7 SP1 x64 computer. I ran "SFC /scannow" and noticed problem with Rundll32.dll and also a referenced Windows Update KB number. Per online research, I uninstalled each Windows Updates and ran SFC scan again until SFC scan verified integrity of system file. I uninstalled total 5 updates: kb4041681, kb4038777, kb4034664, kb4025341, kb4022719. After that SFC scan result was ok and I was able to install the software!

However, when I tried to install Windows Updates, it failed! (I tried doing it online, using stand alone installer, nothing worked).

Please help!

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named softwaremaniac. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hello and welcome!

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload toa file sharing service and just provide the link here.

Thank you for getting back to me! I don't mind to have two pros to help me troubleshoot this problem. (Hoping that this is a sign that the problem is not too serious...) I am getting the info for you. Thanks!

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Hi admins,

Windows can install latest monthly roll-up security update!

However, it failed to install "HP Inc. - Other hardware, Printer - HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 M601, M602 & M603 printer series (DOT4PAR)" with error code 800F020B, and "Intel Corporation - Bluetooth - 7/7/2016 12:00:00 AM - 19.1.1627.3533" with error code 80070103.

Can you fix these also?

It is not recommended to install hardware drivers from Windows Update. Please consult manufacturer's website for the most up to date drivers. If you require any help, please post back.
