I ran sfc /scannow with admin rights - cannot repair corrupt file(s)
I ran sfc /scannow using windows installation disk - still corrupt file(s)
I ran sfcfix - still corrupt file(s)
The file is mshwjpnrime.dll which is some Japanese writing recognizer blah, blah, blah. I'm not Japanese nor ever downloaded or needed anything in Japanese.

I appreciate the help but yesterday I did an inplace reinstall which took care of the problem.
