Hello Sysnative,
I was hoping you guys could help me out with my Win7-64 machine that used to be my development machine. It's been failing on multiple Windows security updates, usually ending up in a revert, restart loop that I have to do a system restore to get back to a usable state. Most recently KB2939576 failed with Code: 800F0816. I have a licensed version of Malwarebytes that reports no infected items.

I've tried the steps to manually replace corrupted files (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833) but the same errors seem to persist in the CBS.log. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-Kevin

Hey Guys,
I know you're all super busy so before anyone spends any time on this, I really feel I'm probably looking at a disk wipe, reinstall Win7. Again, this was a development machine that saw multiple versions of Visual Studio, SQL, Delphi and the list goes on and on. There was even a period of BSOD's related to some bad memory. It may be hard to tell what state this machine is really in besides that everything seems to work great! Minus the ability to install Windows security updates, the really bad news! I'm going to take one more stab at a couple things then I'm going to wipe it clean and start fresh. Just a heads up!

Thanks!!
-Kevin

Hello zcomputerwiz,
No, I haven't reinstalled yet. I keep trying different things to see if I can get this machine back in order. Currently, I think I have fixed all the errors reported in the previous CBS.log but it still continues to fail applying Windows updates. Fix attempts have included copying the corrupt files from another Win7-64 machine, running the System Update Readiness Too (KB947821) and some research into the TrustedInstaller startup settings. All Windows updates fail at reboot so I was thinking maybe the TrustedInstaller wasn't getting set to automatic for restart but that doesn't appear to be the case. I'm heading off to work but this evening I'll end over the CBS.zip and maybe you can see something or have some ideas.

Thanks!
Kevin

I've been away from the office this week, I'll try and get something going this weekend.

Thanks!
