[SOLVED] Hash errors in CBS log tryng to update windows

Noticed problem 2 days ago after updating graphics card. Computer started to get sluggish, mouse really sluggish.. Tried to download and install sp1 update for Windows 7 and got 80070490 error. After doing some searching on the net about this error, I ran sfc / scannow and had 4 hash errors that it couldn't fix.
Tried the window 7 repair, but its asking for sp1 update to be installed first... Dead end there since all I get is a error.
I tried SFCFix program and that didnt help either.

If anyone would like to see if they could help me out with this I would be grateful, I really don't want to do a format and re-install.

See attached cbs.log, checksur.log, and sfcfix. txt files.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Let's see if we can get you fixed up. Please start with the following.

Step#1 - SFC Scan


  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
    button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

    Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.
  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. If you still have this on your desktop from downloading previously, you don't need to re-download.
  2. Download the file below, SFCScript.txt, and save this to your Desktop.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCScript.txt.
  5. Drag the file SFCScript.txt onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please

Good. Now that the corruption is resolved please try to install SP1 again. If it fails, please zip/attach the following log.

pnputil -a C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_usbvideo.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16543_none_8a1a2513d42628c3\usbvideo.inf

Let me know if it says successfully installed.
 
I take it this is means its successful?
Going to try windows update will get back to you if it worked.
