This is "paska", Ukrainian Easter bread. When my husband was alive, not only did I bake paska but also took a basket of the food to church on Holy Saturday to be blessed. The basket contained a sampling of the food we would be eating on Easter Sunday and was decorated with a Ukrainian embroidery cloth as shown in the picture.
BTW, this is also Passover week so Happy Passover!
