I have been trying to get the updates for Win7 sp1 32bit.

I have tried:
Turning off Bitdefender Antivirus
MicrosoftFixit.wu.Run.exe
MicrosoftFixit50202.msi
System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7 32bitWindows6.1-KB947821-v33-x86.msu
Changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
I have removed MS update KB2993651
I don't have installed MS update KB2982791

I'm still getting error 80246002 while trying to get MS updates for Windows 7.

How can I get this fixed?

Thank you,

testHi Doc! I can offer this link. It seems others are having this same issue. Maybe other members will have a better suggestion.
We only have one staff member working on Windows up dates. There are several suggestions in this link. Maybe one will work for you!

I like this suggestion! There are several suggestions in the link at the bottom of this reply!
Click Start
All Programs
Accessories
RIGHT Click Command Prompt and Run as ADMINISTRATOR

at the cursor TYPE: net stop wauaserv (enter)
You will see a message telling you the service is stopping

at the cursor TYPE: net start wuauserv (enter)

This will restart the Windows Update after Windows has installed its update to the update service.

Thanks for the link.

Nothing in the link worked for me.

I ended up doing a sfc /scannow

That fixed it. I am downloading MS updates now.

Thanks,

That's great! Thanks for the feed back! I'm thinking that sfc /scannow was mentioned some where in that link.
