I went to use a non-game program (Windows 7 32 bit Home) and was told, I needed Visual c++ runtime. I installed it and my program runs fine. I don't remember what program complained. I'll look at the date I installed it (Feb. 11, 2020) and try to figure out what program I wanted to use.

Windows 7, can execute MS Visual C++ in some programs.
I checked my notes and I believe the program that complained about the lack of the correct Visual C++ runtime version was an update to 4K Video Downloader.
I've used that program several times on different Windows 7 computers (64 bit Home laptop and perhaps 32 bit Pro desktop) and it is working as it should.
