I was trying to fix this issue and Microsoft said it sounds like I had a corrupted file. I searched and have used the SFCFix program and the fix for the .json files that showed as corrupted. When all is said and done I got an all clear on the corrupted files. My initial problem is still persisting though.

After using the metro interface for ie 11 for a little while, the tab previews start to freak out and show a different picture than the actual preview. After that my bookmark images do the same thing, showing the tab images instead of bookmark images. Also the address bar and the control buttons next to the bar disappear. The bar and buttons are still there you just can't see them. I have clicked in the address bar and changed sites even though I can't see the bar.

When I was investigating the issue I noticed that my CPU was running at 100% and if it happens while my computer tries to go to sleep then I can't wake it up and have to shut it off and restart.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening. It is getting very frustrating. Thank you in advance.

Chris

Can you take a screenshot of this & attach to your next post, please?

Actually I was just waiting to see this morning if everything still seemed alright and I think it is. I ended up replacing my display driver with a new copy of the file even though Windows said it was Ok and that seems to have solved my issue. Thanks.

Thank you for posting back with the solution - much appreciated.
