I keep getting this error while trying to run windows update.

I tried to restart Intelligent background transfer service & Windows update Service. I also tried to run sfc /scannow but it came up with "

C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 2% complete.

Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

C:\Windows\system32>

"

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named CKing123. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hello Jan T!

First of all, disable your antivirus

We will try to get you upgraded to the latest build using the Windows 10 update tool:
Note: Although the chances of data loss are slim, it is advisable to back up your data

Go to this page: Windows 10
Click on Upgrade Now
Run the tool, and follow the on-screen instructions
Let us know if there are any errors/problems when installing this

Hello Jan T

It seems that your computer may have bad memory. Let's test this first:

Can you still boot into the system?

If you can boot into Windows:
Press the :eightstart: + R key together
Type MdSched.exe and press enter
Choose Restart now and check for problems (recommended)
6Yf6Nfe.png
It will restart your computer.
Press F1
Change the test mix to Extended
In Cache, turn it on
In pass count, make it at least 3.
Let it run. If it detects any errors, let us know. It means that one of your memory chips is going bad

If you can't boot into Windows:
We can also do it through the Windows install disk
Boot from the install disk
Select your language, and click Next
Near the bottom, click Repair your Computer
Choose your keyboard layout, and click Next
Click on Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
When it begins, press F1Change the test mix to Extended
In Cache, turn it on
In pass count, make it at least 3.
