Was able to recover all but 236 bad sectors to a new drive. But what files were those bad sectors in? Ay, there's the rub. Ran a CHKDSK, found and fixed issues. But of course. Then sfc /scannow Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log Ran SURT. Runs to completion. Windows Update works too. But I'd just like to get a clean SFC /scannow. Ran SFCFIX. It reports: AutoAnalysis:: WARNING: Failed to get store name from identity name with return code 2 for component NetFx-MSCORWKS_DLL and file mscorwks.dll. File is reported as corrupt by SFC. CORRUPT: mscorwks.dll of component NetFx-MSCORWKS_DLL. SFC log and CBS folder are at https://1drv.ms/u/s!AnHOxq7pxsngjDyruOpd5p_yfU-5 Thanks in advance.
