Ever since April we have been having issues with windows updates on SQL servers in our environment. Sometimes I can get them to take by trying various things - sfc /scannow, dism repairs, etc, but each quarter they fail again. All the CBS logs seem similar on each SQL server:
2024-07-22 07:11:52, Info CBS Failed to add one or more component [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
2024-07-22 07:11:52, Error CBS Failed to complete component closure [HRESULT = 0x80070005 - E_ACCESSDENIED]
Just generic access denied errors. I have attached most recent CBS logs from one of the servers in question. Any help would greatly be appreciated, hoping it is a similar issue across all of the servers and if I can get the bottom of it on one of them maybe it will apply to all of them (I should be so lucky).
