[SOLVED] Failure installing KB5023705 (and KB5022735?) on Server 2022

We get error 0x800f0922 when installing these two patches. The server reboots and gets to near 100% when it decides to roll back changes due to failure.

We've tried:

Clearing the Windows Update store (softwaredistribution and catroot2 folders)
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and DISM with /StartComponentCleanUp - they don't report any errors
Installing KB5023705 manually
ComponentScanner - reports no errors

I hope you can help.

Open an elevated command prompt and run the following command, attach Services.txt to your next post.

Code:

WMIC SERVICE GET caption, name, startmode, state > "%userprofile%\desktop\services.txt"

I should mention it's an RDS server. There are 3 of its kind, where one of the others have the same problem. The last do not.

Download the

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link

Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.

Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
Press the Fix button.
If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.
