Hi!
I want to install PowerShell 5.1 (KB3191566) to my updated server with Windows Server 2008 R2 Standart x64. But install fails with different errors. What i tryed to do:
1. Try to install PowerShell 5.1 (KB3191566) (installation took about 6 hours) and it fails with error 80092004.
2. Try to reset Windows Update Agent with script from gallery.technet.
3. Again try to install update (installation took about 5 hours) and it fails with error 80092004.
4. Install System Update Readiness tool (KB947821) and again try to install problem update (installation took more than 7 hours). Installation fails with error 80070057.
5. Run SFCFix and no errors were found.

Link to download logs from Google Drive.

Please help me with installation. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Thanks for reply.
These updates are already installed. Look in spoiler. My server is up to date except one hidden update. This update appears again after installation and restart. I hope it disappears after the PowerShell update.

I try to uninstall antivirus Kaspersky security server, but it gave nothing. Error 80070057 again when installing the update. I don't know what I can try to do myself. I see that there is a lot of necessary information in the logs, but to understand it, I do not have enough knowledge.

I still haven't found the reason for the installation failure. Can anyone suggest a book or site with information on parsing the CBS.log?

Does anyone know of other forums that can help with this issue? Please. Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Lets do some checking...

Farbar Recovery Scan Fix
  • Download FRST or FRST x64 and save it to the Desktop.
(Please pick the version that matches your operating system's bit type. If you don't know which version matches your system, try FRST if it say that is not compatible with your OS you have to use FRST64)
  • Download the file attached and save it to the Desktop as fixlist.txt
(It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work!)
  • Execute FRST/FRST64 right click on the icon
    FRST.gif
and choose Run as Administrator. Make sure all other windows are closed.
    FRST_Fix.png
  • Press the Fix button just once and Wait.
  • The tool will make a log (Fixlog.txt) on the same location as FRST/FRST64 please post it in your next reply.
