HI there,

This whole thing started with the prompt "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes." on Windows 1903.

performed a Windows update Troubleshooter - it showed it fixed issues (pic attached) - after reboot, got error 0x800f0831 for cumulative patch 2020-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4556799)
which lead me to manually reset windows update by stoping services and deleting folders softwaredistribution
ran SFC /scannow - reported issues
ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth - fixed issues (log attached)
ran SFC /scannow - now reports all good "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations." - (pic attached)
ran DISM /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth - all good (pic attached)
Checked for updates, found a few, others installed, but cumulative fails with error 0x80073701

Upgraded to 1909 using enablement package - upgrade installed
tried Windows update - same error for kb4556799 (1909)
Downloaded patch from Microsoft Update Catalogue same error...

ran sfcfix and it reports nothing broken. (see attached)

CBS.log located at - CBS.zip

Need help, please ... and thank you

Hi!

Please fully upgrade to Windows 10 1909:

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
  2. Accept the License Agreement
  3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

We want to get the ISO so that you don't have to keep downloading which can take hours.
