I continue to not be able to update a Windows Server 2019 box with a 0x80070057 error.

Windows Version: Server 2019 Standard with 1809 installed on 5/11/2021
OS Build number:17763.2114
Drives: System partition 652GB free, Data partition 2.5TB free, both on separate physical drives
CPU: Intel Xeon E-2224 @ 3.40GHz

Peripherals: None installed beyond USB wired keyboard and mouse and monitor

These are the errors I am getting and the steps I have taken. Any help is appreciated.

Still have not resolved this issue. Is there anyone that can offer assistance?

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Apologies for the delay in responding, your thread must be overlooked.

Can you please post the recent CBS logs?
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply.

I realize this is a support community but after 8 months since my initial ask you can close this issue. On May 11th I ended up paying Microsoft for support and the issue has been resolved.

BTW, you asked for the CBS logs which were literally in the first post. I followed the guide for submitting a request for support...

I know you've posted the CBS logs, but those were from September last year, therefore I asked the recent files.
