Hello all,
I'm really having trouble getting to the bottom of my DPC latency problem. I think the problem lies somewhere in my USB drivers and/or network drivers or adapters, but disabling them all doesn't seem to solve the problem. The stuttering is the worst when the computer is downloading a large file or streaming music, and everything slows to a crawl. It is especially bad when I use my work VPN at home, which is posing a big problem for me. My IT department can't figure it out, so I'm hoping someone here can!
Here are my computer specs:
Lenovo X1 Carbon (Model 20A70037US)
OS version: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, 6.1, build: 7601 (x64)
CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4600U CPU @ 2.10GHz
Logical processors: 4
Processor groups: 1
RAM: 7855 MB total
I am fully updated according to Lenovo's website and Microsoft, so it doesn't seem to be an "old driver" issue. I think there is some type of conflict but I won't guess....
Attached to this post is a screenshot of my Xperf trace, and also my LatencyMon report. Please note that I ran Steam during the trace because it reliably causes major stuttering problems. Please let me know if you need any additional info to figure this out!
Much appreciated in advance,
JimmyD
