Hello,

I've been recently getting a lot of audio problems (Crackling, popping etc...) while listening to music, playing videogames, videos etc...

The issue seems to be caused by dxgkrnl.sys

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to Sysnative!

How have you decided that this is what is causing the problem? dxgkrnl.sys is the driver for Direct X. It might be the problem, but I am not 100% certain of this. If you want to check, you can uninstall your current version of Direct X and see if it changes things. If it doesn't then we can try some other things.

Also, I would like to know about the hardware that your running. Is it an onboard sound card, or one that you installed. Please tell me anything else that you think in important too.

Cheers!

Thanks for the answer wmorri !

So, a little update about my problem. I had my problem fixed after posting on this forum (No more popping sounds, sound crackling slowing my pc). What i've done is: in order, turn off my pc, turn off my power supply unit and then on again, start my pc, and magic happened the problem was gone.

Sadly, today my problem has come back again and i've did the same thing turn off the power supply unit etc... And now it's fixed again.

So yeah i don't really know what to think anymore. ):

Thanks for the help

P.s Excuse me for my bad english.

Hi Kevin,

Don't worry your english is fine. I am glad you have fixed your problem. I have had a similar problem, which went away by a similar means. If you find that you are having this popping problem and it becomes an issue, come back and we can troubleshoot it more.

Cheers!
