Good afternoon,

I am having a heck of a time getting this server to do updates. I found this issue through a needed application update. When I went to Server Manager it crashes. Going through some troubleshooting I now see:

- Updates I get error 0x800703f1.
- sfc /scannow I get "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
- dism I get "Error 1009 - The configuration registry database is corrupted"

I've tried the Windows Update Troubleshooter to no avail as well as several other things that also did not work.

Please let me know if anybody has any ideas.

Thanks,

I have run the SFCFix. The first time I ran it hung up. I let it sit there for 2 days or so.

I closed and ran again. It says no errors were found but experiencing the same issues.

I'm attaching the log.

Good afternoon,

So as I said that the first time I ran SFCFix it fronze. I didn't get what it said, however.

The second time it showed successful and the above post shows the log file.

I ran it a third time and it looks like it has frozen again.

Here is where it froze the first and the third time and just sits there with blinking line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Due to the nature of your corruptions, scan times have been extended by
approximately 15-20 minutes. Please be patient and allow the operation to
complete.
