Digerati - Global Moderator

Congratulations, Bill! Most definitely deserved.

There must be another Digerati someplace! Not sure I have earned the confidence you placed in me, but I will try not to let you down. Thanks so much for this, and for the very warm congratulations.

I'll be confirming my bank routing and account numbers with you shortly to make sure my pay raise is properly deposited! ;)

It is just good to have you and your expertise with us here at Sysnative, Bill - but now as a blue Global Moderator. :-) 👍

I often learn something new (to me) about Hardware from your very detailed posts - something that I've been trying to do (learn Hardware) ever since I [literally] first found these Technical/Windows Forums for the very first time and posted at TSF in September 2007.

I'm pretty good on subjects involving Windows and software in general, but have some type of mental block when it comes to Hardware. I don't understand why I don't take to Hardware the way that I do with threads/topics involving Windows, other software and especially BSODs. When a BSOD thread turns and it becomes apparent that the cause is "unknown hardware failure", I start to get lost. You have often ridden to the rescue in such threads, which I greatly appreciate.

No - it is you, my friend and you have most certainly earned your title. I don't see possibly how you could let us down given your track record for many years now involving Sysnative. You are the quintessential expert and Moderator; taking a chance (with a then-new and fledgling forum with the strange technical name of "Sysnative") by joining us very early (just a few months) after our opening in February 2012 and being an absolute positive asset to Sysnative ever since.

Again - congratulations on the well-deserved and earned promotion.

Sincerely,

John

I guess I'm the opposite. I have an aversion to programming. I guess it is because a running program is not something I can touch and feel, or measure with a meter probe or solder with a soldering iron. Not crazy about analyzing logs either. I had to do it daily in the USAF for many years and I guess just got burned out with them. I am in awe for those here who seem to do it so effortlessly, and tirelessly.

It was not taking a chance. In fact, blame Corrine. I do! And you too! ;) I don't know how I actually first stumbled on Sysnative as it wasn't yet getting a lot of Google hits. But once here, I saw Corrine, whom I've "known" for years and I saw you were here too and I was familiar with your BSOD work already. So I figured it must be a decent place to hang out. You folks made me feel welcomed (especially after all the "fun" we had with z3r010 ;)) so it was a no-brainer from then on.

I'm another who has issues when I see posts that imply hardware issues and recall, on more than one occasion, contacting Bill to take advantage of his expertise.

Yes, blame me for Bill's presence here. I'll take complete credit for it. :-) Although it took him until August to register, I know I started referring people here from LandzDown as early as March, 2012.

Congratulations. 🍻

Now I know who I have to contact when encountering strange hardware problems :-)
