We have a Dell PowerEdge T330 with a Dell PERC H330.
There are two different sets of disks. x2 128GB drives mirrored for boot. x4 256GB drives in a raid 10.
The RAID 10, became unavailable. RAID controller didn't show anything wrong. But when I tried to access the drive I got an access denied error. I tried to take ownership of the drive but didn't have permission to do that either.
I tried for several hours to figure this out. Removed and reseated the drives. Nothing worked.
I recovered the data to another server and moved all the shares.
I tried to delete the RAID 10 and recreate it. Went into windows and formatted the new drive. After formating the drive I tried to access it. Still getting access denied.
I purchased four new drives. Put them in and setup another RAID 10. Same thing. After formatting the drive I got access denied trying to access the drive.
My concern is this is some kind of new crypto virus but scanns show nothing.
My other concern is that it is an issue with the backplane or controller.
Has anyone seen this before? Anythoughts what might be the issue?
