Cybercrime moves to the cloud

Researchers say criminals are moving their malware heavy lifting from end user PCs to servers in the cloud.

The same flexibility and freedom companies get from having their software and services hosted in the cloud is enabling cybercriminals to conduct highly automated online banking theft -- without doing much of the necessary information processing on their victims' own computers.

A natural evolution in the cyber criminal world i would say as it was evolution for us to use the cloud for file storage and transactions.

A worrying thought for that to be happening and hopefully the security guru's have a handle on this already and learn the criminal system and how it works and give a solution/s to overcome this and employ relevant countermeasures.

The security community seems to know about this and should have already put in place countermeasures to the problem.
