Cumulative Updates keep failing for months

Cumulative windows updates have been failing since Jan 2020 maybe even before that. The latest are:

2020-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4551762) -Error 0x80073701
Optional:
2020-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4541335) -Error 0x80073701

Hi!

This will be the quickest way to repair it:

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
  2. Accept the License Agreement
  3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.
 
Thanks for your reply. I didn't want to lose my apps and/or data so I decided to turn on preview builds and upgrade to the upcoming 2004 feature update. For now, it seems to have worked.
 
When I tried media creation tool 1909, it told me some apps and settings would be lost so I didn't go through with it.
