Have since had the same issue with updating my SD card reader driver and Windows Updates gives an 0x8024200d error. I've tried all of the scans/steps as suggested in the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions page and all results show no issues. CBS file attached as requested. I have disabled anti virus to see if that was the issue too. Any help would be much appreciated! Many thanks.View attachment CBS.zip

No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own. Download DRIVERS.ZIP and save to your desktop. Right-click on it and select Extract all.... Make sure the "Show extracted files when complete" is checked and click Extract. Now we have the DRIVERS file that we will be using to replace your current one. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config Right-click on the current DRIVERS file and select rename. Rename it to DRIVERS.bad. Note: If you get an error that the file is in use, reboot your computer and then try again. Take the file from the Drivers folder on your desktop and paste it into C:\Windows\System32\config Afterwards, try updating again and let me know if it still fails. I am not really sure as to what the cause was. You can donate to Sysnative using your credit card to support the work all of us do: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/donate.php We greatly appreciate it!
