I am having the same corrupt files problem on Windows 8.1 Pro 64. Following Go The Power's instruction have given me identical results as OP. I'd like to add that as of this morning every time I boot my computer it automatically tries to scan and repair drive E:, no matter what. However, I am not certain that issue is related to the corrupt files ("Cannot repair member file [l:18{9}]"MSDTC.LOG" of Microsoft-Windows-COM-DTC-Runtime") found when I ran sfc /scannow. I suspect it was cause by a recent Windows Update.
Please let me know if this gets figured out! Thank you.
