Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it and press enter . In some cases with transaction manager problems there is an underlying disk issue. Is this server running RAID and has it recently experienced any disk failures, power outage, etc.?

This is the only machine I've ever not managed to fix updates on so thought I'd give you guys a go as a last resort! Thanks for trying, will just rebuild and migrate. It's a VM which hasn't had any problems with the underlying disk. I think it's just FUBAR
