Hi Qajaq
I believe the easiest and quickest way to resolving your issue is to migrate to windows 10 - a clean install is fine. As you are already preparing for this then I would suggest to give this a go.
In answer to your questions -
1. During the migration to windows 10 if you have any questions or run into any issues please start a new topic
here in the windows 10 forum. In your post please create a link to your windows update topic for reference.
2. You can run FRST, a diagnostic tool. It will produce 2 text files. The one called addition.txt includes a list of all currently installed programs.
FRST Intructions
Please download
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. In your case download the 64 bit version.
Right click on the file and select
run as administrator (if you don't have this option just double click the file to run it). When the tool opens click
Yes to disclaimer.
Press
Scan button.
It will produce a log called
FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (this should be your desktop).
The first time the tool is run it generates another log
Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe.
3. Speccy is another diagnostic tool which can give an overview of your system including a list of all devices installed. This can be exported as a text file. You can download Speccy (free version)
here.
4.Here is a website that you may find useful for backup tools. I would advise against Macrium Reflect as it is known to cause issues with windows updates.
