I am trying to update to windows 11 from windows 10(using ISO file virtually mounted), but getting the following error:
Screenshot (164).png

I've already checked for windows 11 compatibility by PC Health Check.
All the drivers are up-to-date.
Also windows update shows up to date.

I'm trying for 1-2 weeks but on any significant changes. Only I get the same error i.e. it installs 100%, but when updating to windows 11 at 48% it restarts and gives Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with stop_code: reference_by_pointer.

Please provide me assistance.
Thanks in advance.

Could you please check the following directories for a file named setupmem.dmp?

Rich (BB code):
%SystemDrive%\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Rollback
%WinDir%\Panther\NewOS\Rollback

Please zip up and attach the file to your next post if it exists.

Please check the Minidumps folder as well, which will be:

Rich (BB code):
%systemroot%\Minidumps

Please remove the Dell Diagnostics software, it's known to cause BSOD problems, especially Stop 0xCAs and Stop 0x18s.

It will be under Programs and Features, you can remove it as you would with any other program.

Could you please export your msinfo32 file using the following command from a command prompt:

Rich (BB code):
msinfo32 /nfo %userprofile%\Desktop\msinfo32.nfo

Please zip up this file and then attach it your next post.

Thanks, looks like it's listed under your Start Menu as simply Dell. I would suggest checking under Programs and Features for anything Dell related and then removing it. It seems that it may possibly be listed as Dell Utilities or Dell Support Assistant.

Thanks...
I've the Dell Support Assist.
But before uninstalling that, I want to let you know that, some of the keys of my keyboard aren't working. So I'm going to replace it in few days. So should I try uninstalling Support Assist OR should I wait for replacement and try installing windows 11 ?

Previously I tried opening Support Assist lot of times, but it was giving some unexpected error occured restart and try again. After restarting, the same error.

I'll remove Dell Support Assist and then attempt to update again. The keyboard replacement won't have any effect on the installation of Windows.

Actually I haven't tried it as I was busy in keyboard replacement. The keyboard is replaced now. I'll try it on Tuesday and let you know further issues. Thanks.
