I cleaned a virus out of a computer for a client and now I am having issues with IE 11 installing. I uninstalled all versions of IE form the computer because I could not get IE 11 to install and now I cannot get any version other than IE 8 installed. Each time I tryo to use Windows update or manually install IE 10 or IE 11 I get the 9c59 error. I have literally tried everything I can find on the internet. I have my CBS log but it is 257MB and compressed it is still 12.7MB. I am trying open the CBS file to only copy the information from today. I will post it as soon as I get it.

Thanks in advance!

Well what do you know, I fixed it! I gambled on running this FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart" to see if it would fix it and it did. Apparently the IE11 installer was corrupted. I know it could have made things worse, but I have to get this computer back out today and I was not sure when someone would be along to help me.

I will keep this forum bookmarked in case I need it in the future.
