U u2live79 Member Joined Oct 15, 2020 Posts 5 Oct 15, 2020 #1 Successfully ran Chkdsk c: /r /f /x Running gsmartcontrol now and will report back Current issues are strange Rectangled shaped icons beside PC settings catagories, wifi networks etc. No Windows Store or apps will open. Updates run fine but in place upgrade (created from another computer) and reset keeping files yeilds same corruption. Thanks in advance!!

We just went through this same issue here Can't boot from a cloned disk. Can't boot from a cloned disk. You said, you already tried an in place upgrade and that did not work. A new drive and a clean install is the best bet. If you can boot from the cloned "new disk" and get into windows to try the In-place upgrade, that might work. If not, a clean install to the new drive is the only way.
