[SOLVED] Cannot install cumulative updates on Win11 23H2 - CBS.log error found

Hello,
I have some systems running Window 11 23H2 that I cannot update using the cumulative updates.
The update always fails.
In CBS.Log there is a clear error message when the update fails:


So far I have tried:
sfc/scannow
chkdsk /r /f
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /AnalyzeComponentStore
DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
DISM.exe /online /cleanup-Image /restoreHealth /source:\\<servername>\c$\windows\winsxs /LimitAccess (pointing to a perfectly working Win11 23H2 client)
resetting the Windows update folders & reboot

none of this solves the issue. The CBS.log keeps indicating the same error:

Logs attached. Clear warning message over a missing manifest, no idea how to fix this.
