You can use it for free, however I actually bought the key for their $50 just because I think it's a really great editor, it's got lots of cool things. I've got the spellchecker with it, which works amazing, and there's syntax highlighters, and you can easily save and use snippets. I had to look at a few tutorial videos to get used to it, but it's great...
