I've been getting random crashes lately with the BSOD. The most common being PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (win32kbase.sys)

I think the event that led to this problem was when I accidentally deleted the Path environment variable.

This is the current Path variable: C:\Program Files\Dell\DW WLAN Card;;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;c:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\;c:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\syswow64;C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\

Windows 10
x64
OEM OS
1 month old system (XPS 13 9350)
Reinstalled the OS 3 days ago trying to fix the BSOD with no success

CPU: intel i5 6200u
Video card: Built in to CPU I think

System manufacturer: Dell
Model: XPS 13 9350

Laptop

I am running the driver verifier, waiting for a BSOD.
Thanks.

Hi Steine65. :welcome:

Change it with:
Code:
C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\WINDOWS\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files\Windows Defender;C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\;C:\Program Files\Dell\DW WLAN Card;c:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\;c:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\syswow64;
(It's like yours, I've just expanded the system variables)

My path variable includes these ones (I put them on different rows to show them better):
Code:
C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client\;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client\;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x86;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\OpenCL SDK\2.0\bin\x64;
C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\DAL;
C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Components\IPT;

Maybe you need to re-install intel drivers (they are usually on a CD shipped with your pc, or maybe in the recovery management path of your manufacturer; example: mine is in start menu, all apps, Packard bell, Packard bell recovery management, reinstall driver or applications).

Thanks for the quick response xilolee!

I changed my Path variable to match the code you provided, and I am going through Dell's website to download the latest drivers.

Hopefully the crashes will stop.

Hi. . .

The bugchecks on the 6 dumps varied -
0x7e (0xc0000005,,,) - thread threw an exception; exception error = memory access violation
0xbe - driver attempted to write to read only memory
0x139 - kernel corruption
0x50 - invalid memory referenced
0xa - driver improperly accessed memory
0xc7 - DPC found somewhere in memory where it is not permitted

Varying bugchecks tend to indicate "unknown hardware failure" as the probable cause.

Several of the dumps listed:
Code:
[COLOR="#FF0000"]Probably caused by : hardware[/COLOR] ( nt!SwapContext+208 )

The dumps nor system info submitted cannot even hint at the piece of hardware that has failed.

All I can do for you is to give you some hardware diagnostic programs to run.

You also need to look at the motherboard, PSU, and all other hardware parts.

Are you over-clocked? From the dumps:
Code:
MaxSpeed:     2300
CurrentSpeed: 2400

I just noticed that you posted the age of your system is just 1 month old.

I would advise you to seriously consider returning the system and getting a new one. The problems/BSODs that you are currently encountering may end up being just the tip of the iceberg.

At a minimum - contact your system manufacturer's support desk and get on record with them.

Thanks a lot for the time you put into my problem. I have not had any problems since I changed my Path variable to what xilolee recommended.

Do you still recommend that I take action, even though my problems have stopped?

No, I guess not at this point.

However, I would contact them at the first sign of any new trouble.

Regards. . .
