Hi Guys, new to the forums - posting my BSOD info after reading jcgriff2's post over on bleepingcomputer. Here's my system:

Windows 7 SP1
x64
Original OS = Win 7
OEM version of OS
Age of system = 1 year
Age of OS installation = 3 months (reinstalled after replacing HDD around 11/15/12)

AMD FX 8120 @ 3.10GHZ
AMD Raedon HD6800
Coonix 600W power supply
Gigabyte-M68MT-S2 Mobo

Any help / insight would be much appreciated.

Justin

The following drivers are involved in your crashes, so there is a likely conflict among them:

vhidmini.sys Fri Sep 28 11:21:57 2007 (46FD3835)
most likely an IVT Corporation BlueSolei Bluetooth HID Mini driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=vhidmini.sys

nvstor64.sys Fri Apr 9 03:22:41 2010 (4BBEF1E1)
nVidia Storage Driver (nForce chipset driver)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=nvstor64.sys

nvmf6264.sys Thu Aug 12 05:46:06 2010 (4C63DEFE)
nVidia nForce network driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=nvmf6264.sys

atikmpag.sys Wed Dec 19 12:32:55 2012 (50D21667)
ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=atikmpag.sys

atikmdag.sys Wed Dec 19 13:38:55 2012 (50D225DF)
ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=atikmdag.sys

Recommendations:

The first thing I would suggest is uninstalling all Gigabyte utilities:

GVTDrv64.sys Tue Sep 5 01:10:02 2006 (44FD22CA)
Gigabyte Easy Tune 6 driver (known BSOD issues w/Win7)
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=GVTDrv64.sys

gdrv.sys Thu Mar 12 21:22:29 2009 (49B9D175)
Gigabyte Easy Saver - mobo power utility driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=gdrv.sys

AppleCharger.sys Mon Jan 10 02:57:29 2011 (4D2AD809)
GIGABYTE On/Off Charge driver. See here for details - GIGABYTE ON/OFF Charge
May cause BSOD on Win7/8 systems - uninstall to test (haven't seen recently (15Jan2013))
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=AppleCharger.sys

Check to see if removal of the Gigabyte utilities provides more stability. If not, check for updates to your Bluetooth device.

Code:
12672 9/19/2007 5:01:06 PM "C:\Program Files (x86)\n52te\VDriver\vhidmini.sys"

The device is pre-Windows 7 and likely a cause of conflicts. If you cannot find a driver update for it, replace it with a more modern Bluetooth device. Further investigation shows this may be part of your keyboard interface. It appears to be a Belkin, IVT, or JMicron USB Bluetooth device.

You also have a Memory card reader from the same company that is pre-Windows 7. If you need help updating the drivers for the devices, please provide the model number and serial number for the device (usually found on the device itself on the under-side of it).

vhidmini.sys Fri Sep 28 11:21:57 2007 (46FD3835)
most likely an IVT Corporation BlueSolei Bluetooth HID Mini driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=vhidmini.sys

JmtFltr.sys Fri Sep 28 11:04:57 2007 (46FD3439)
JMicron JMB38X Memory Card Reader Driver
http://www.carrona.org/drivers/driver.php?id=JmtFltr.sys

If the above steps do not fix the crashes, install your AMD display drivers without the Catalyst Control Center / Vision Engine Control Center software to remove the AMD Overdrive software from the system.

AODDriver2.sys Thu Apr 5 03:23:37 2012 (4F7D6499)
AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard
Known BSOD issues in Win7

3rd Party Drivers:
The following is for information purposes only. My recommendations were given above. The drivers that follow belong to software or devices that were not developed by Microsoft. Any drivers in red should be updated/replaced/removed. You can find links to the driver information and where to update the drivers in the section after the code box:

It's worth noting that storport.sys is the binary that sits directly above the storage miniport drivers, specifically I mean the drivers that interface with hard disk controllers (whether they be virtual disks or physical disks). Crashing in storport.sys usually indicates an issue with one of these drivers (or the disk hardware itself), so following writhziden's advice is wise - especially on the NVidia storage driver front, as that's the one driver I see in his list that would sit anywhere near storport.sys on a Windows system.

My first analysis was a bit disorganized as I did not know what was installed on the system. Seeing the Belkin N52TE is a partial keyboard for gaming purposes and also seeing that it contains a JMicron Media Card reader built-in, I suspect it is that reader that is causing conflicts with the NVIDIA storage driver since the reader also acts as a storage device.

I see no updated drivers for the N52TE device, so I would advise removing the drivers for the N52TE device, then physically removing the device from the system, and seeing if the crashes stop. You should be able to uninstall the device through your programs list or through device manager. Start by checking for entries in the programs.

Guys, awesome response time and information - Thank you very much - removed a few things and system seems more stable - am stress testing it now.

My machine threw a new BSOD at me 'REGISTRY_ERROR' STOP: 0x00000051 - thought the first one was a fluke, but can't seem to boot normally anymore - system restore is a fail as well. I have attached the report again, but the performance monitor report could not be generated; included a screenshot of the error. Once again, any help would be much appreciated.

Backup any important files in case the following steps do not work and cause Windows to be unable to boot.

Run a disk check outside Windows and test afterward to see if Windows can boot normally.

If the disk check does not work, follow the guide to restore a backup of your registry and see if it fixes the problem.

You may need to reset your BIOS hardware/software connections after doing the registry recovery.

  • Shut down and turn off the computer.

  • Unplug the computer from the wall or surge protector (then remove the battery if it is a laptop).

  • "Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station, disconnect cables to printers or devices such as external monitors, USB memory sticks or SD cards, headset or external speakers, mouse or auxiliary keyboard, turn off WIFI and Bluetooth wireless devices." (Use Hard Reset to Resolve Hardware and Software Issues HP Pavilion dv5000 Notebook PC series - HP Customer Care (United States - English)).

  • Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. This closes the circuit and ensures all power from components is drained to clear the software connections between the BIOS and hardware and clear any corruption in the temporary memory.

  • (If it is a laptop, plug the battery back into the laptop and then) Plug the computer back into the wall. Do not reconnect any unnecessary peripherals; monitor, keyboard, and mouse should suffice and be the only peripherals reconnected.

  • Turn it on to reinitialize the software connections between the BIOS and hardware.

Guys - a wealth of knowledge here - I attempted the registry restore, but bricked my machine and figured it best to just start over - thank you everyone for your help, I really appreciate it.

Not a problem. Monitor the system closely and keep important files backed up on a regular basis at least for the next month or two. Hopefully problems will not return, but the problems you have had may indicate a failing hard drive, so it is best to proceed with caution regarding the data on the system.
