Hello,

My machines encounter quite random BSODs in the day (Os Windows Embedded Standard 2010 SP1).

These same machines are connected to a Windows server 2003 SP2 which, strangely, also meets BSODs.
The analysis of the mini dump recovered does not give anything conclusive (problem of "symbols" apparently).

With the help of these dump, could someone help me?

Hi. . .

The bugcheck on the Embedded Windows system was 0x8e (0x4,,,) for all 4 dumps. 0x8e = kernel mode exception (error) was not handled. The exception code is the first parameter inside the parenthesis of the bugcheck; in this case - 0x4. A 0x4 exception code is interpreted as "no such interface supported". So, a kernel mode exception was detected that Windows was unable to handle because the interface was not supported.

That is as much as the dump will tell us. It does not and cannot tell us what interface it is referring to.

Can you run Driver Verifier on the embedded system?

Driver Verifier - BSOD related - Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 + Vista

Driver Verifier stresses and tests all 3rd party drivers looking for improper behavior. If a violation is detected, Driver Verifier will force a BSOD and if caused by a 3rd party driver (versus hardware failure), will name it (the rogue driver).

Has any hardware or software changed recently on the embedded system?

As for the Server 2003 dumps - I come up with symbol errors and dump corruption. The symbol errors are not surprising because Server 2003 is no longer supported by Microsoft. There is not much more that I can say regarding the Server 2003 dumps. A summary of the processing by Windbg is below.
