Hi all, any help w this would be greatly appreciated!

When it happens, all my apps basically freeze at almost the same time.
If I right click or try to open task manager, it doesn't work (cause Windows Explorer froze too).

Ran memtest and crystaldiskinfo and chkdsk, the SSD and RAM both seem to be fine...

I've attached my memory.dmp file if anybody can assist me with figuring out what's going on. Event Viewer has been pretty useless for me.

I suspect the SSD connection to the mobo might be faulty. I just can't imagine it being anything else yet, but I don't know.
For some reason minidump files aren't being made, so I'm troubleshooting that at the moment. I even changed the path in the system properties.

Here's my memory.dmp but I can't open it - I think it's corrupted.

· OS - Windows 11
· x64
· What was the original installed OS on the system: Windows 10
· Is the OS an OEM version:Yes
· Approximate age of system (hardware): 4 years
· Approximate age of OS installation (if you know): 6 months ago
· Have you re-installed the OS?: No, just updated
· CPU: Intel i7 8750H
· Video Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060
· MotherBoard (if NOT a laptop)
· Power Supply - brand & wattage (if NOT a laptop)
· System Manufacturer: MSI
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom): GL63 8RE

Sorry for the spam earlier by the way, my computer was BSODing during the posting and I didn't see if it went through or not...

Have you set the dump file settings to automatic?

That file is certainly corrupted, it should be around 1GB+, however, your KernelDumpList report indicates that it should be okay? How did you zip the file?

Oh, I set them to small as per this guide. I just changed it to automatic and checked the "Disable automatic deletion when disk space is low" so I hope it works.

That file is over 1gb on my PC and it still won't open on any debugger. I zipped it by doing right click -> zip on Windows.

The Automatic option will produce a Kernel Memory dump (MEMORY.DMP) and Minidumps too. You should hopefully see a dump file produced on your next crash.

The file is corrupted then, I assume that only a very small amount is actually readable hence why the zip file was so small.

Hi everyone, bumping this. For a month or so the BSODs stopped out of nowhere so I didn't get a dump, but they started up again after I traveled a bit with the exact same symptoms! I've attached my minidump files here at long last. I'll write down more error codes that I've encountered, just a sec.

Things I've encountered that could help:
Stop Code 0xc00021a BSOD
Kernel data inpage error BSOD
WdFilter.sys failed BSOD
Critical Process Died BSOD
For some reason it happens often after I send a discord message?

During a chkdsk through command prompt, first it deleted a corrupt attribute record for one file, then for some reason it said cannot open volume for direct access on my SSD (C drive)
Crystaldiskinfo says that my D: drive has 95 reallocated sectors with a threshold of 36.

For some reason one time when I was running wbadmin through command prompt it said my SSD didn't exist. However, crystaldiskinfo maintains that the SSD is in good health.

I am trying really hard but seemingly not getting anywhere. Would super appreciate any guidance.

How is the SSD connected? SATA or NVMe based? This increasingly looks to be some form of hardware error like you mentioned.

I would open the laptop if you're able to and then ensure that the drive is connected correctly. It isn't uncommon for cables to become loose with time.

Looks like that actually fixed it so far.

I'm angry that I didn't try this earlier despite me suspecting it so early LOL

Cheers! Thanks so much for the help. I learned a lot during this process :)

That's good to hear, hopefully you'll continue to have no other crashes. It could have been quite a few things to be honest so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it.
