So, for the last month ive had an issue where my applications crash alot, my opera browser will tell me that it ran out of ram, applications will randomly shut down and etc. Ive had several BSODs when these issues occur, and it got to a point where i reset my entire PC. The PC reset did not help anything other than download speed and performance, and the issue remains. The eventviewer errors all have the same device name linked to it "Primary Device Name:PCI\VEN_15B7&DEV_5006&SUBSYS_500615B7&REV_00" which is the code to my WD BLACK M.2 SSD
The pc i have is an HP Omen 25l stationary PC, running the newest windows 11, the pc is around 4 years old, all of the hardware is as it was from factory other than a ram swap, where all 4 slots are used, and all 4 sticks are the exact same model. The GPU is a 3070 and the CPU is an 11-series I7 that came with the pc. The machine is only being used for games, so the only applications installed are the drivers required for the pc, spotify, steam and other applications that are known to be very safe. The system is not being overclocked, the only strain i can imagine is the 3 monitors.
I have attached the sysnative file collection, aswell as a speccy link to my pc specs.
Any assistance would be great! thank you in advance.

Hi @UhhhEric , welcome to Sysnative Forums.

System Information > Problem Devices:

NvModuleTracker Device ROOT\UNNAMED_DEVICE\0001 Error Code 32

Error Code 32: is one of several Device Manager error codes. They're usually caused when the start type for the hardware device's driver is disabled in the registry.

You have two antiviruses on your system which could cause the problems. Please uninstall Mcafee by installing > Mcafee Uninstall Tool, this antivirus come with a McAfee PC Optimizer <> You need to uninstall with Revo Uninstaller Free.

Windows Defender is all you need.

RAMInfo.html has a blank page

Thank you for the response! i have now uninstalled McAfee and restarted my device, unfortunately the issue persists. The PC Optimizer was not installed on my device, so that has not been touched. Would it be safe to assume that the problem does not lie with my WD Black disk mentioned in the errors? I have ran sandisks troubleshooting tools multiple times and had no errors.
Considering the RAMInfo.html was empty, would it be worth checking if my ram sticks are the problem?
I have previously made the warnings slow down by deleting a "Windows gameinput" program, but the errors were still present

Hello! Since my previous reply, the warnings have become more frequent. Ive been looking into buying new components just incase thats the root of the issue, but id like to troubleshoot further incase hardware isnt the issue.
I ran the scan once again, fresh off a restart, hoping it would provide more info than previously. While scanning, the tool decided to skip two operations (as shown in the attachment), but seemed successful other than that. It seems my pc is getting slower and slower by the day. The RAMInfo.html in this scan gave more results and I'm hoping there is a possibility of further assistance with the new scan.
Thank you very much for the assistance!

Looking at the *.dmp files it could be an issue with the NVIDIA drivers, so I would suggest to uninstall them first using DDU.

1. Remove the NVIDIA driver with DDU: Utilizing DDU Display Driver Uninstaller Properly
2. Then perform a memtest to rule out BAD ram sticks.

Please follow the instructions below to run Memtest. (It's recommended to run it for 8 passes (2 runs of 4 passes).
  1. Download Download MemTest86 Free to your desktop and extract this file.
  2. Right click imageUSB.exe and select the option "Run as Administrator".
  3. Select the USB-stick to place a checkmark.
  4. Warning! When you perform the following steps it will overwrite all your data on this USB-stick!
  5. Then click Write to copy the ISO file "memtest86-usb.iso" to the USB-stick.
  6. When you get the message: "You have chosen to write an image to the following USB-drive, click Yes.
  7. Then a final warning will appear, click Yes to create the USB-stick with the Memtest ISO file...
  8. Boot the system from this stick and run MemTest for the first 4 passes.
  9. If no errors have been found after the four passes of the 13 different tests that the free version does, then restart Memtest86 and do another four passes.

Unfortunately neither the ram or the nvidia drivers seemed to be the issue here. I will attempt to reset my pc to factory, if the issues persist I'm going to assume that this is a hardware issue, and I'll look into upgrading multiple components. Thank you for the assistance!

Hi,

It seems that those small bugcheck (crash) dumps are pointing to nvlddmkm.sys

Therefore I would suggest the following:

- Install an older version of the NVidia GPU software. Maybe 1 or 2 versions back that are stable. **Remove the current version using DDU first, as previously stated.

- If there is not luck there try disabling the monitor power-off:
Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change advanced power settings
Set “Turn off display” to Never

- Update the BIOS/Firmware on the GPU. There is a tool for that on the Nvidia site. Note: Updating firmware can make the device non-functional.

- Start testing your GPU.

Hope this helps.

Definitely update the BIOS, as suggested above. There have been many updates since the version you have installed and it's quite possible your issues could be BIOS related.

I also agree that the dumps all look to be graphics related. Most are 0x19C bugchecks indicating that the monitor did not power on in a timely manner. One dump is a common 0x116 bugcheck indicating that a graphics hang was detected but the Windows Timeout Detection and Recovery feature was not able to recover. The cause here is typically either the graphics driver or the graphics card. As suggested above, the best way to discover whether it's the card or the driver is to download the previous 3 versions of the driver for your card from the Nvidia driver website and also download DDU from Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) Official. Use DDU to uninstall the current driver (the system will reboot) and then install the immediately prior version and test. If it still BSODs then use DDU again and then install the next prior driver version and test. Keep doing this until you have tested the latest driver version and all three prior driver versions.

If it BSODs on all of those then, as a final test, download the Nvidia graphics driver from the HP website for your model of PC (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/omen-25l-desktop-pc-gt11-1000i/model/2100032611?sku=3Z761EA) and use DDU to uninstall the current version and install the HP version and test.

If it BSODs on the most recent four driver versions AND on the HP driver version then the cause is almost certainly the graphics card. However, since these are 0x19C bugchecks, it is worth trying a different monitor, or a different monitor connection (HDMI or DP for example). SInce this a pre-built PC, and they often skimp on the PSU in these builds, driving them close to their limits, it might also be a PSU issue...

I have now updated the bios to the newest version, also tested all the driver versions and none of it has worked so far. I have ordered several new components including a new PSU, CPU, motherboard and RAM as ive intended to upgrade my pc regardless. If the error dumps persist with the new machine, would that solidify my GPU being faulty?
Thank you very much for the responses!

Could you please post the latest crash dumps.

Did you try the modifications to the power settings and swapping a monitor as suggested?

I suppose you can replace parts and hope for the best, but that is expensive. I would suggest that it would be a last resort after all other avenues have been exhausted.

Here is a link to a post on Stress Testing with FurMark

Let us know how you go?

TBH I think that what we've seen so far strongly suggests that the problem is probably the card. The Furmark test suggested above is a good idea too.

Ive ran both furmark 1 and furmark 2 now, and the GPU performed just as expected, while also learning the case that came with my HP had scarily bad airflow to keep the temperature down. I have also tried unplugging all my monitors and the warnings appeared regardless of which monitor/port/cable was used at the time, I even checked for warnings without any graphics drivers installed and they were still there. The new scan that i have attached has been taken with the original ram sticks that came with the pc when it was purchased. With everything done so far, the PC is performing ALOT better, anything from download speed, frames per second in games and game performance, but i'll still have applications freeze occasionally. The scan attached is also taken with the adjusted power settings, on the newest graphics driver (as the older ones still gave warnings), a new set of ram sticks (stored in an anti-static bag) and the updated versions of everything mentioned in this thread.
My new components are expected to arrive in 5 days, where I've upgraded from DDR4 to DDR5, changed CPU brand from Intel to AMD, upgraded my PSU to a 750W Platinum and specifically chose a motherboard that was recommended by Guru3D, all being placed in a case with good airflow.

Even thought the performance is improved, the warnings are still being spammed in the event manager and I'm still experiencing issues with applications freezing.
Thank you for your patience!

Hello

Say, you went in Safe Mode and carried out some tasks that are identical to when you are in Windows proper, do you experience the same problems?

All the best
