BSOD and OS not Found Problem

Dear Sir,

I wish to bring to your notice that sometimes it shows something is Dumping -BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and OS not found on my
SONY VAIO NETBOOK. :banghead:

Hi -

"OS not found" is usually related to a problem with the hard drive.

Please zip up the entire output folder and attach to your next post.

Run - Driver Verifier - BSOD related

1 STEP:
I Ran Driver Verifier

During that process

I saw SOFTWARES other than Microsoft :
Provider
Dump_amd_sata.sys- Unknown
Dump_diskdump.sys - Unknown
Dump_dumpfve.sys- Unknown

and other Softwares like Macrovision Corp , Realtek Semi conductor.corp

2 Step :

Driver Verifier status:
I typed verifier /query (in a cmd/DOS screen)

yeah it started and then gone

What should i do now ??

Hi -

Select ALL non-Microsoft drivers; re-boot system.

Driver Verifier will start & run in the background.

Select the last option on the Driver Verifier screen -

"Display info. . . . ."

Driver Verifier needs to run for 24 hours minimum.

Yes. . .use the system as normal.

Keep in mind that it may BSOD at any time. That is the goal for Driver Verifier.

Hello,

Good Morning

After clicking on Driver Verifier and following your instructions,

I had kept my netbook ON from yesterday night till today morning

when i got up in morning my netbook had automatically shutdown
so i started it , it Displayed Resuming Windows and it was Locked.

Now my netbook is ON and I did everything in NORMAL MODE.

Kindly Assist me.

Hi

just now from 10:30 -10:47 AM ,I had 3 BSOD

of that one BSOD was around 10-15 seconds which stated something about DRIVER.

Hi

In my netbook

I went to SYSTEM PROPERTIES :

-Then Advance Option

-Clicked on Startup Recovery Option

System Failure

1. Write an event to system log- On

2.Automatically restart - On

IMPORTANT :
Write Debugging information.

Kernel Memorey Dump OPTION was ON. (There was option like NONE In place of Kernel Memory Option TO CHOOSE AS WELL)

DUMP FILE : % system root % \MEMORY DUMP

Overwrite any existing OPTION was also ON.

I just want to ask that are these OPTIONS Creating BSOD ???

System crash settings look fine to produce dumps.

Part 2 of the output quoted above:

AllocatedBaseSize=1642 = Page file size

1 - Tells me you have 1.5 GB RAM installed...? Is this accurate?
2 - Windows was installed/ system initial boot was 12 Feb 2013
3 - Peak virtual memory usage = 251 MB -- a little high

Yes Sir

1. I have 1.60 GB Installed Memory RAM. (Useable)

2. On 12 Feb 2013, I once again tried to Fix OS not found Error ,BSOD BY PRESSING ASSIST Button on my Netbook as per the instruction given in Sony Vaio Recovery Options.
(But NO USE of pressing ASSIST Button, even i tried it with the help of SONY ppl ,but they couldn't do it,)

3. At the time of Shutdown ,it shows TASK HOST MANAGER Program is running in background (But actually there is NO Program running) -
Force Shutdown/Restart.

Now-a-days even Chrome/Firefox are working slowly on my netbook.What do you think Sir may be the cause of these problems ?
