Hello dear experts,
Last Monday, on May 4, I started getting an error message when running a program. It started with Zoom (which my sister uses for school) and now happens with other programs such as PowerPoint and SFCFix for instances:
I'm sorry the messages are in Portuguese, but in English goes by:
C:\Windows\System32\rasadhlp.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again or using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f.
Programs still work after I continuously press the button OK, but this error message is starting to appear on other programs. I unistalled Zoom and after installed again for several times and the error continues.
After searching on Windows Threads for possible solutions, I ran Command Prompt as administrator and ran the lines sfc /scannow.
Every single time, it gets to 28% and gives me the message Windows Resource Protection Could Not Perform the Requested Operation:
This happens even if I reboot into Safe Mode and try SFC from there.
I then ran DISM Restore Health command that gave me Error: 4448 The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's Resource Table.
I also ran CHKDSK from a Command Prompt and everything seem well.
Additionally, I also ran Malwarebytes, CCleaner, Zemana AntiMalware and Malwarebytes AdwCleaner. Everything they found was fixed and after re-running them, nothing was found.
This finally led me to this site where I have attempted the SFCFix.exe, with the following output SFCFix.txt:
SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro.
Start time: 2020-05-08 12:06:52.014
Microsoft Windows 10 Build 18363 - amd64
Not using a script file.
SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro has encountered an unhandled exception.
Currently storing 0 datablocks.
Finish time: 2020-05-08 12:12:49.199
----------------------EOF-----------------------
I also send attached my CBS.log.
Can anyone please help me on what I should do?
Any assistance will be gratefully received.
Thank you so much!
(P.S. I am sorry for the long thread, just wanted to give you as much details as possible)
