If I had known this was going to happen I would have got a i5:banghead:, but by dropping support for the 8350 that will stop a lot of returns for a "bad" motherboard. Calling the 8350 a 125 watt chip is a bit dishonest as well, granted it's hard to determine the actual draw, however most reviews show a difference of 140 watts between idle and 100% load.
This time I checked double and read customer reviews on 8350's on the new board a ASRock 990FX Extreme4...of course it works fine on the old board (ASRock 970de3) too....as long as you don't ask too much of it:thud:. I even updated the BIOS a couple of months before I got the chip....Probably will have to do the same with the new board....
So if we are nuts, I'm more nuts than you:lol:
